Oversharer

by: hannah d

I want to show people every side of me,

The good– the bad, and the ugly.

My mouth is a waterspout;

I want to scream and shout

A never-ending flow of words.

I just want to be heard.

I need to feel,

How come nothing anymore is ever real?

I overstep and overshare,

And they think I don't feel their judgmental stare,

How come the person I actually want to talk to

Ignores me and leaves me out of view?

You walk by as if we never met

With stride and power, and no regret.

I overshare because my words are imprisoning,

And because I am hoping you are somehow listening.

Hoping you will hold on to everything I have to say,

Hoping that my words will persuade you to stay.

It Rained Again

by: hannah d

It rained again.

pitter patter

on the roof.

You held me

tightly,

lovingly,

and the rain stopped.

It is raining again.

drizzle drizzle

but now

you aren't here.

sadly,

painfully,

and the rain turns into a flood.
